The unreasonable expectations people hold themselves to in order to appease society’s demands; what they think they’re supposed to do/be, or how they should live.
the message that our expectations for what life is supposed to be are based on other peoples’ ‘happinesses.’
The scenes I have in mind will be more symbolic of the main theme. I want a lasting feeling to come from it - I want it to stick with whoever watches. Not necessarily a comforting or hopeful endnote, but more of a relatable light sadness/reflection. Kind of like a communal, ‘yes, i’ve been there. So I guess other people have too.’
Im thinking of a mix between non-linear book ending, and the audiatory story structures. I have a poem that I would like my friend to record to play in the background as a more literal understanding of the topic.
I want it to be flatter looking than normal 3d. Possibly adding in the lighting with 2d like they did in feast. Or hand drawing the backgrounds or something. Super basic shapes and compositions, very graphic. Simple limited color palettes, sticking to low saturated cool colors.
